Six students from Liberty Academy recently presented at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Governance Camp to school board trustees and superintendents from across Texas as part of the Student Voice sessions.

On Wednesday, March 2, orchestras from Victoria ISD’s middle and high schools competed in the annual UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation at Victoria East High School.

Two of Victoria East High School’s girls powerlifters have advanced to the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association’s (THSWPA) Class 5A Division I State Championship to be held March 19 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.

Victoria West girls powerlifting headed to state

Six of Victoria West High School’s girls powerlifters have advanced to the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association’s (THSWPA) Class 5A Division I State Championship to be held March 19 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.

At the Texas School Public Relations Association’s (TSPRA) 60th Annual Conference held this week, Victoria ISD’s Ashley Scott, executive director of Communications and Public Relations, won the association’s Rookie of the Year award.

Scott is in her second year of school public relations and communications, all of which she’s spent at VISD.

Victoria ISD would like to offer Mrs. Scott a huge congratulations on this achievement.

Victoria ISD's Communications Department brings home awards from 2022 TSPRA Star Awards

The Victoria ISD Communications Department was among members across the state to receive honors from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA). The awards were announced at TSPRA’s annual Star Awards Celebration held Feb. 23, 2022, at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, Texas during the association’s 60th annual conference.
